About Me

I am an adult educator with twenty years of experience facilitating learning. My experiences include teaching English as a second language to learners at all levels, collaborating with local communities in Southeast Asia to develop mother-tongue literacy programs, engaging with students as a postsecondary learning strategist, providing professional development in intercultural teaching to faculty colleagues, and instructing postsecondary students. I currently teach in the Melville School of Business at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

I view teaching and learning primarily as a process of holistic human development that builds on existing strengths and knowledge. I find joy in seeing learners develop increased confidence and competence as the reach the intended learning outcomes of their programs, whether in a formal or non-formal context.

I am grateful to live and work on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Kwantlen, Katzie, Tsawassen, and Semihamoo First Nations.
